Although the democratic leadership in Congress has taken impeachment "off the table", on June 10, 2008 Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich introduced 35 Articles of Impeachment against the 43rd President of the United States George W. Bush. These articles include multiple topics.

The articles of impeachment first cover the war in Iraq--perhaps the most obvious crime of the Bush administration, . Congressman Kucinich accuses the Bush administartion of creating an illegal propaganda campaign to mislead the citizens of the United States about the threat posed by Sadaam Husein manufacturing a false case for war.

The Bush adminsitration went to war without meeting the requirements set for by the house resolution, which was proof of weapons of mass destruction. By providing the independent contractors in Iraq with immunity from prosecution, President Bush also acted in an impeachable manner.

The President and his adminsitration have approved the use of torture and allowed for the extraordinary rendition of prisoners. The administration has also illegally held both U.S and foreign prisoners. Due to a lack of fiscal oversight the Bush administration has aided the Taliban.

The illegal spying on American citizens is also an impeachable act and has been admitted by the administration. Ordering the telecom companies to turn over records was also illegal.

The administration has acted in opposition to the voting rights act of 1965.

The actions and inaction of the President during the Katrina Disaster would have brought impeachment articles upon Clinton within a week when he was president.

That this administration obstructed the 9/11 commission seems to have been lost on the major media outlets. That so many people and so much evidence has come out showing the incompetency of this administration in the days prior to 9/11 should have led to impeachment long ago. That they lied to and failed to care for the first responders to the World Trade Center is unconscionable.

Perhaps history will judge the worst of the impeachable offenses of this administartion to be the purposeful misrepresentation and underming of research concerning global climate change.
